You can reach the Aeolian Islands by hydrofoil, by boat or by helicopter.

The archipelago can be reached from the  airports from Catania, Napoli, Palermo and Reggio Calabria; by sea with the hydrofoil, from the harbours from Napoli, Messina, Milazzo, Palermo and Reggio Calabria and by boat from the harbours from Napoli and Milazzo.

BY CAR

› From Messina with your car by ferryboat:
It is necessary to reach Milazzo port by car via motorway (1h). Once arrived in Milazzo, you can catch the first ferry departing from the port, such as SIREMAR Compagnia delle Isole or NGI.

› From Catania with your car by ferryboat:
It is necessary to reach Milazzo port by car via motorway (1,40h). Once arrived in Milazzo, you can catch the first ferry departing from the port, such as SIREMAR Compagnia delle Isole or NGI.

› From Palermo with your car by ferryboat:
It is necessary to reach Milazzo port by car via motorway (3h/300 km). Once arrived in Milazzo, you can catch the first ferry departing from the port, such as SIREMAR Compagnia delle Isole or NGI.

BY TRAIN

Milazzo station is the nearest to Aeolian Islands. In order to reach the port, you can catch the bus or get a taxi (around 4 km).
